LABIA FILLER - LABIA PUFF

Labial Laxity – What Is It & What Causes It?

Labial laxity occurs when the outer labial tissue loses elasticity and has a loose and sagging appearance. While this might sound like a cosmetic issue, labial laxity can actually result in physical problems such as vaginal dryness or loss of libido.

The main reason for reduced plumpness in your labia is down to ageing. As you age, your body produces less collagen. And since collagen is key in maintaining the ‘bounce’ in your skin, loss of it means things look a little deflated.

On your face, this is evident in the fine lines and wrinkles but down below, it presents as loose, excess skin that can be uncomfortable and embarrassing.

It’s not just ageing that causes your labia to change shape or tone. Childbirth, unsurprisingly, can also have an effect. Giving birth can cause lasting damage and trauma to the labia minora and the labia majora. Some women find that their body returns to normal after a few months, while others find that the changes are permanent.

What Is The Labial Puff?

The labial puff is an exciting new treatment that has transformed the sexual cosmetic industry. Now we can help the many women who suffer from malformed or uncomfortable labia majora without having to resort to painful and expensive labiaplasty.

The procedure is simple; a topical anaesthetic is applied to the area, followed by an anaesthetic injection to minimise any discomfort. Once that has worked, the filler is injected. It takes around 15 – 30 minutes to complete the process and has a short recovery time, although refraining from sexual intercourse or cycling for a few days is advised.

How Should I Prepare For The Labial Puff?

Before and after, make sure you’re well-hydrated and relaxed. The treatment isn’t painful, but some find the intimate nature of the procedure a little daunting. If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to discuss them with us. All of our staff are discrete, highly trained professionals – there’s no need for embarrassment or have feelings of anxiety.

How Soon Will I See The Results?

The results can be seen right away, although in the first hours there may be a little swelling in the area. If you are keen to see the difference treatment has made, you can take your own labial puff before and after photos.

Discomfort or pain during sex

Pain during intercourse (dyspareunia) can have a profound effect on you and your relationship. Loose labia can chafe, or you can find that you or your partner need to manoeuvre excess tissue to make penetration easier.

Vaginal dryness

Vaginal dryness is one of the most common symptoms of menopause – it affects over a third of women over 50. The drop in estrogen causes the vaginal walls to become thinner and less hydrated, which can lead to ongoing irritation.

Loss of confidence

Feeling good about your body plays a huge role in your day to day well being. Self-consciousness about your labia can hold you back from intimacy with your partner, or even prevent you from becoming intimate with someone new. Over time, this feeling can have a profound effect on your self-image.
